Construction
At Adirondack White Pine Cabins, we have no assembly lines or mass-production. Each cabin is built one board at a time, with full attention to every detail. Your cabin is constructed by our small team of craftsmen inside our 5,000 sq/ft shop in Saranac Lake, protected from the elements and weather delays to insure a high-quality build.
Cabin Structure and Framing
At AWPC we commit to traditional stick-built home building with 2x4 wall construction, 2x6 floor joists, and engineered stamped 4x6 trusses. Our in house built trusses exceed NYS snow loading requirements at 100lbs/sq.ft.

Insulation and Energy Efficiency
Our homes are designed for year-round living in the harsh Adirondack climate. Built indoors to exacting standards, each cabin features tight construction, high-performance insulation, and modern windows and doors that keep heat in during the winter and cool air in during the summer. The result is a comfortable, low-maintenance home that saves you money on energy costs while reducing your environmental footprint.
Interior Finishes
The walls of our cabins are sided with the locally milled 1x8 White Pine boards that give us our name. And the Adirondack White Pine continues onto the ceiling with seamless select 1x6 White Pine bead board. Each room is thoughtfully laid out with custom cabinetry and built-ins. Let us design your dream kitchen and furnish your bedrooms with the ideal closets and platform beds for you and your guests. All surfaces are clear coated to protect and preserve while allowing the natural beauty of the pine to shine through.

Exterior and Roofing
Our custom milled exterior siding is 1x12 tongue and groove White Pine. The addition of hand shaped corner blocks artfully complete the log cabin look. Each home is finished with two coats of high end oil-based stain providing four season durability. Metal roofing comes standard with whole-roof underlayment, ensuring year round protection even through the harshest of Adirondack winters.
Standard Utilities
All of our homes utilize residential utilities and fixtures with NEC compliant electrical systems. The PEX water lines and PVC drain lines are pressure tested as part of the home inspection process. We offer 100amp or 200amp service, dependent on your home’s current and future electrical requirements. Choose from a myriad of light fixtures, included ceiling fans, dimmers, charging outlets and more. 30 gallon lowboy electric hot water heaters come standard with an option for electric on-demand available.
